lyrics

I emerge
From the ashes of my past I am born anew
Reminded of the life I desire
I spread my wings and fly ever higher

If mercy should have it I might yet see this world saved
From the iron fist of greed and hate
From subjective bias and premature rage

But still hope comes hard to me
For the trained eye can plainly see
A world so bereft of forgiveness
And people so empty and broken with ego relentless

A growing beast inside,
You feed it with habits in which you find pride
And though your fate you can decide
Behind the veil of persona you hide

Watching
Waiting
Learning to hide your dreams and desires
As your heart turns to stone
You become so bitter and cold

But do these people deserve to be saved,
Or are we petty creatures to stuck in our ways to escape
To evolve into something beyond these skin coffins we rot in forgotten in hate,

Are we merely slaves to the whims of our nature,
Self righteous and disregarding the future,
Generations of children born into a worldwide Mass grave
Tell me do you deserve to be saved

Do you deserve to be saved

Illuminate the path before me,
Let me see if the destination is hellish or holy,
Grant me the eyes to see,
I wish to know what the future holds for me,
Does it ever get better than this,
Is there ever a time when I can exist,
Without the threat of the world that won't permiss
A creature with absolute wholesome bliss

My soul will carry on beyond the entombment of this skin coffin
I only hope that when I escape this misery can be forgotten

We all have our crosses to bear,
They grow heavier with time and cure us of our fear
Of death of passing on to the next level to the great beyond
For death is the final frontier,
But of what lies beyond we instinctively fear
But it could only be better than this,
It can only get better than this,

But you chain yourselves to this state of being
By clinging to ego so naieve
A species divided a world undecided
With minds so sick and depraved
Tell me,
Do you deserve to be saved

This skin coffin

I emerge,
From the ashes of my past I am born anew,
Reminded of the life I desire,
I spread my wings and fly ever higher,
I embrace the beauty of this skin coffin,
And I admit to myself that
We are guilty as we are deranged
Passing our hatred through every age,
Making all the world a stage
All who dare to make a change,
Will inevitably be erased
For no savior will stand in the sinners way
Crucified for being a saint
Tell me do you deserve to be saved
